aDigi Print House – A Story of Entrepreneurship and Printing Since 1991

aDigi is a Helsinki-based digital print shop that started with a bold new beginning and has grown over more than three decades into a modern, agile printing house.

Where Did It All Begin?

aDigi’s story begins in 1991, when entrepreneur Pasi Puhakka founded ZX Repro Oy during the recession years in Finland. The motivation was simple but strong: entrepreneurship offered a way forward and the chance to build something of his own during a difficult time. There was no union support, and there were motorcycle loan payments to cover — so a solution had to be found.

aDigi was born at a moment when a job disappeared — but skill, passion, and determination remained.

A Three-Generation Printing Heritage

Printing was not unfamiliar to Puhakka. He practically grew up surrounded by ink, as his family already had three generations of experience in the printing industry. His professional path also led into the field: Puhakka trained as a printing plate maker.

The business truly started when he acquired the production equipment of his former employer and began building his own printing house in Helsinki.

The Era of Digital Printing

Over the years, printing technology has changed dramatically. What used to be slow, manual work became faster and more flexible with digital printing. Digital production brought new efficiency and the ability to react quickly.

The company later changed its name from ZX Repro to aDigi — because digital printing was clearly the future.

Speed and Service Still Matter Most

Even though technology and the business landscape have evolved, one thing has remained the same: fast service and a great customer experience.

At aDigi, customers receive support even when their print needs are not yet fully clear. Printing terminology can easily get confusing — which is why expert guidance is an important part of the service.

Print Still Has a Strong Role

The world is becoming more digital every year, but printed products remain highly valuable. Customer magazines, brochures, and postcards have made a comeback, because they feel tangible and memorable in a way digital content often cannot.

Small digital print runs are a cost-effective way to create impactful marketing — without mass production.
