Materials and finishing
The 6-page roll fold leaflet is available in three paper options. The material is selected during checkout in the online store.
Ideal for image-led leaflets. The smooth surface keeps images sharp and colours bright.
Gives a calmer look and is pleasant to read in text-heavy content.
An eco-friendly option when sustainability is part of the message. The lighter weight folds well.
Printing and folding
- Double-sided, full colour – all six pages printed
- Machine folding – a clean, even fold edge to edge
Fold type and size
In a roll fold, one side panel folds inward under the centre panel, so the leaflet opens up for the reader one step at a time. The finished size is a handy DL (99 × 210 mm).
- Finished size – 99 × 210 mm (DL) – fits an envelope and a display stand
- Flat (unfolded) – 297 × 210 mm (A4) – three panels side by side
- 6 pages in total – three panels on each side
- Inward-folding panel is narrower – a few mm, for a clean fold
Other fold and size options
- 4-page (half fold) – when you have less to say
- 6-page accordion fold – same size, different way of opening
- A5 and A4 leaflets – when you need a larger surface
How to set up the fold correctly
Build the artwork on an A4 base (297 × 210 mm) and split it into three panels. Because one side panel folds inside the others, it is made narrower – otherwise the folded leaflet won't close evenly.
Outside (pages 1–3), recommended:
Recommended (optimal)
Outside: 98 + 99.5 + 99.5 mm
Inside: 99.5 + 99.5 + 98 mm
Traditional
Outside: 97 + 100 + 100 mm
Inside: 100 + 100 + 97 mm

Typical print quantities
aDigi is an agile digital printer – small runs make sense, and campaign series can be split into several deliveries.
- 50–200 pcs – a small event or trial campaign
- 500 pcs – a typical store or trade-fair campaign
- 1,000–2,000 pcs – a larger event or letterbox distribution
- 5,000+ pcs – a wide campaign, ask for a separate quote
RGB or CMYK?
Our modern digital presses often reproduce RGB colours more accurately than traditional CMYK printing. In practice both work – aDigi does not force CMYK.
- Leave the artwork in the colour space it was created in
- There's no need to convert RGB artwork to CMYK
- If the artwork is originally CMYK, leave it as is
- Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign all work
Most common artwork mistakes
- Equal-width panels – the roll fold won't close cleanly
- Missing bleed – the background doesn't reach the edge
- Important text on the fold line – readability suffers
- Too much content on one panel
Frequently asked questions
What is the finished and flat size of the leaflet?
The finished folded size is 99 × 210 mm (DL) and flat the artwork is 297 × 210 mm (A4).
How should the panels be sized?
We recommend an outside of 98 + 99.5 + 99.5 mm and an inside of 99.5 + 99.5 + 98 mm. The traditional option is 97 + 100 + 100 mm.
Why is one panel narrower than the others?
The inward-folding panel goes under the others, so it is made narrower. This way the leaflet folds together evenly and the edge doesn't crease.
What does a roll fold mean?
One side panel folds inward under the centre panel. The leaflet opens up for the reader one step at a time.
FAQ – artwork
What's the difference between Silk and Matt paper?
Silk gives a smooth surface and sharp colours – great for images. Matt suits text and gives a calmer look. Both 170 g.
When should I choose recycled paper?
When sustainability is part of your message. The 160 g recycled paper folds well and suits wider distribution.
How fast are the leaflets ready?
Typical delivery time is 1–3 business days from artwork approval. In a hurry it's often faster – mention your preferred date when ordering.
Does the artwork need to be in CMYK?
Not necessarily. Our digital presses often reproduce RGB colours accurately, so RGB can stay RGB. CMYK artwork doesn't need converting.
