Image resolution
The image must be accurate enough in the size in which it is printed. A small online image does not become printable by enlarging it.
Steps in brief
- Use original, large images as much as possible.
- Do not stretch a small web image to a large one.
- Open the PDF and zoom in 400% for critical images and logos.
- Check especially small texts and QR codes.
- Change the image if it already looks blurry on the screen.
Check the image in the final size
An image may look good small, but fall apart when enlarged. Open the PDF and zoom in before ordering.
Small products reveal mistakes
On business cards, cards and flyers, small texts, logos and pictures are visible up close. They must be sharp.
In large pictures, the viewing distance helps
Posters and roll-ups are viewed from a distance, but logos and titles must still be in order.
The image and logo stay sharp at final size.
A small web image stretched larger turns blocky or blurry.
