- A5 – 148 × 210 mm – a popular all-round size for programmes, guides and handout brochures
- A6 – 105 × 148 mm – a small pocket size for quick guides, programmes and campaign handouts
- 210 × 210 mm – a modern square format for visual brochures, portfolios and catalogues
- B5 – 176 × 250 mm – a balanced in-between size when A5 feels too small and A4 too large
- B6 – 125 × 176 mm – a book-like pocket size for small publications, guides and programme booklets
Materials and finishing
Covers and inner pages are selected when placing your order. You can create a light and cost-effective booklet or a more substantial publication with sturdier covers.
- Covers – a sturdier paper gives the publication a more finished and high-quality feel
- Inner pages – clear readability, good colour reproduction and comfortable browsing
- Colour printing – ideal for photos, graphics, advertisements and visual brochures
- Page count divisible by four – for example 8, 12, 16, 20, 24 or 28 pages

Frequently asked questions about saddle-stitched magazines
Which size should I choose?
A4 works well for larger publications and reports, A5 is a popular all-round size for programmes and guides, and A6 is ideal for small pocket-sized booklets. B5 and B6 offer a more book-like feel, while the 210 × 210 mm square format is especially suitable for visual brochures.
Why must the page count be divisible by four?
In saddle stitching, printed sheets are folded and stapled in the middle. One folded sheet creates four pages, so the total page count should be 8, 12, 16, 20, 24 pages and so on. Blank pages can be added if needed.
How should I deliver the artwork?
Deliver the artwork as a print-ready PDF file. We recommend 2 mm bleed, CMYK colours and high-resolution images. We check the file before printing and contact you if we notice a clear issue.
What does saddle stitching mean?
Saddle stitching means that the printed sheets are folded and stapled through the centre fold. The result is a light, clean and easy-to-browse publication.
