What to include with your enquiry
- The application and surface: for example, packaging, glass, a vehicle or equipment.
- Whether the sticker needs to withstand moisture, sunlight or wear.
- Whether it should be removable or stay in place.
- The finished size, shape and quantity.
- Whether you need stickers on sheets or individually cut stickers.
Choose the material for its intended use
Paper stickers suit dry indoor applications such as packaging and product labels. Synthetic stickers offer better moisture and wear resistance than ordinary paper stickers. Plastic stickers are an option for applications that need greater resistance to moisture, weather or wear. Confirm suitability for your particular surface and use.
Sheet stickers or individually cut stickers?
On a sheet, the sticker material is cut to shape while the surrounding backing remains. Individually cut stickers are supplied as separate pieces, with the outer edge following the chosen shape.
For custom shapes, supply a three-page PDF
- Page 1: the printed design and cutting outline together, showing the intended result.
- Page 2: the printed design without the cutting outline.
- Page 3: the cutting outline only.
The cutting outline must be a vector path, not a JPG, PNG or other pixel image. Create it in software that supports vectors. If you cannot supply a vector outline, contact us before ordering.
Allow space around the design
For a sticker cut around a logo or illustration, aDigi often recommends a white border of about 2 mm between the design and cutting outline. This allows room for small cutting variations. If the print must reach the edge, extend the image or background beyond the cutting outline according to the product instructions.
Keep text and QR codes away from the cut
Place small text, logos, barcodes and QR codes clearly inside the cutting outline. Check the finished size, spelling, image quality and any white border before sending the file.
