The founder and a family tradition in print

Founder

Pasi Puhakka

Founder and CEO of aDigi Oy – entrepreneur since 1991

Pasi Puhakka represents the third generation in the family's printing tradition. His parents owned a traditional offset print shop in Espoo, and Pasi himself trained as a printmaker. In other words, ink has been part of his life from childhood onwards.

The company was founded on 5 August 1991, originally under the name ZX Repro Oy. When digital printing began to transform the industry, the company was renamed aDigi to reflect the new direction – but the shift wasn't accidental. It was the result of deliberate investment and continuous learning.

Puhakka sums up the formula for long-term success in four points: good customer service, transparent pricing, fast delivery times and skilled staff. These principles still guide everything aDigi does.

aDigi's journey since 1991

The printing industry has changed enormously over three decades. aDigi's strength has been the ability to evolve with customers' needs – while the core promise of quality and reliable deadlines has stayed the same.

ZX Repro Oy is founded

Pasi Puhakka acquires his former employer's production equipment and starts his entrepreneurial journey in the offset era.

1998

First colour copier

The digital era begins. A colour proof that once took hours with offset film can now be produced in under a minute.

2000s

The name changes to aDigi

Repro printing gives way to digital. Production equipment is renewed every 3–5 years to keep up with the technology.

2010s

Online store and environmental work

Ordering moves online, and aDigi receives the Ekokompassi environmental certification for responsible operations.

Today

An agile print shop in Hakaniemi

Operating on Saariniemenkatu in Hakaniemi, delivering across Finland, with Bisnode AAA credit rating and industry quality certification.

Why experience matters in the print industry

We know the materials

Over three decades we've printed on almost every common paper and cardboard. We know what suits each purpose – and what to avoid.

We anticipate problems

At the file-check stage we spot issues that could cause problems on press. Experience saves the customer's time and budget.

We'll be here next year

The number of print shops in Finland has halved roughly every ten years. aDigi has operated since 1991 – and plans to keep doing so for years to come.

Personal service

A small, settled team knows its customers. The same person who takes your order knows your artwork requirements and your previous schedules.

Who benefits most from a trusted print shop?

Reliability matters most when printed products are tied to a company's external communication, brand or customer experience. Typical customers include:

  • Companies and organisations that regularly order business cards, forms and marketing material
  • Marketing agencies and graphic designers whose client work depends on the print partner's schedule
  • Event organisers and exhibition stands that can't afford to wait
  • Restaurants and retail that need consistent quality for menus, labels and campaign material
  • Associations and the public sector where procurement requires a stable supplier
