Funeral cards – memorial cards for guests at the memorial service
A funeral card is a small, dignified keepsake that the organiser of the memorial service hands out to guests – a photograph, name, dates and memorial verse together on one elegant card. A card given to guests creates a thoughtful, coordinated atmosphere for the service and leaves a lasting memory of the deceased.
Unlike the funeral programme, which sets out the order of service and hymns, a funeral card is a keepsake: small, personal and emotionally meaningful. The typical print run is 30–300 pieces depending on the expected number of guests.
We can also compile the card for you – send a photograph, the deceased's details and an optional memorial verse, and we'll finalise the card as a finished whole before printing.
Order easily from our online store – local printing in Helsinki using plant-based eco-friendly inks on FSC/PEFC-certified card stock. Fast delivery throughout Finland so the cards are ready in time for the service.

Funeral card or funeral programme?
A funeral card and a funeral programme have different roles, even though they belong to the same service. Many organisers order both – the programme sets out the practical details of the service, while the card stays with the guests as a keepsake.
Funeral card – a keepsake for guests
- Handed out at the memorial table – guests can take a card with them from the service
- Contains a photograph, name and memorial verse – not the order of service
- A small, unfolded card – A6, A5 or 105×210 mm
- Print run of 30–300 pieces based on the expected number of guests
Funeral programme – a guide to the service
- Sets out the order of service – prelude, hymns, speeches
- Used during the service – helps guests follow along
- A folded leaflet – A5 classic or 105×210 mm narrow
- Ordered for the same number of guests
Order with editing – we'll compile the card for you
The timeline for funerals is often tight, and there may not be time to prepare a polished print-ready file. You can order the funeral cards without a ready-made PDF – we'll compile a dignified, beautiful card for you.
What can you send us?
- The deceased's details – name, dates of birth and death
- A photograph – jpg, png or heic; phone photos work too
- A memorial verse – a poem, a Bible verse or a free-form memorial text
- An optional symbol or motif – e.g. a cross, flower, bird or heart
- A wish for a coordinated look – if you are also ordering a funeral programme, tell us how you'd like the overall design to come together
Size options
The funeral card is always unfolded – either single-sided or double-sided. Three sizes are available for different needs.
The most ordered size. A classic memorial card that fits in an envelope and works well on the memorial table or attached to floral arrangements. Enough room for a photograph and memorial verse.
A larger card that can be displayed prominently on the memorial table. More room for content – multiple photographs, a longer memorial verse or a short biography.
A narrow portrait format – a modern, understated option that pairs naturally with the 105×210 mm funeral programme when you want a coordinated set.
Print run: The typical print run is 30–300 pieces based on the expected number of guests. As a digital printer we can produce exactly the quantity you need – no larger minimums.
Materials and finishing
We print funeral cards on sturdy, matte-finish card stocks whose even surface reproduces text and photographs accurately. The same three discreet materials are available as in our funeral programmes.
A classic, clean white tone. The firm, even surface reproduces text and photographs crisply – a neutral choice that suits almost any visual style.
A smooth textured surface that gently resembles linen fabric. A dignified, traditional feel – particularly suited to a classic look.
A warm, natural-white tone with a slightly textured surface. An environmentally friendly choice that brings a calm, earthy feel to the card.
FSC and PEFC certified paper: all the card stocks we use are certified with either FSC or PEFC – they are made from responsibly managed forests.

Frequently asked questions
How does a funeral card differ from a funeral programme?
A funeral card is a small, unfolded keepsake that is handed out to guests at the memorial service – the card typically includes a photograph, name, dates and a memorial verse. A funeral programme, by contrast, is a folded leaflet that sets out the order of service, hymns and speakers. Many organisers order both – the cards stay with guests as a keepsake, while the programme helps everyone follow the service.
Which size should I choose?
A6 (105×148 mm) is the most ordered size – the classic postcard format fits in an envelope and suits most uses. A5 (148×210 mm) is a more substantial alternative if you want room for multiple photographs or a longer memorial verse. The narrow 105×210 mm is a good choice when you want a natural pair with the matching funeral programme.
Can you compile the card for me?
Yes. Send us a photograph, the deceased's details and a memorial verse, and we'll compile the finished card before printing. This is a common service when the funeral timeline is tight.
How many cards should I order?
The typical print run is 30–300 pieces based on the expected number of guests. It's worth ordering a small safety margin so you don't run out at the last moment – a couple of dozen extra is often a good buffer. As a digital printer we can produce exactly the quantity you need.
Can I order the cards with the same look as the funeral programme?
Yes – and it's a common request. We use the same photograph, the same typeface, the same colour palette and the same memorial verse, so the overall design feels considered. If you're ordering both at the same time, mention this – we'll make sure the look is consistent.
How quickly will the cards be ready?
Standard delivery time is 2–3 working days from artwork arrival. In urgent cases please contact us – we'll work out the fastest possible timeline together. We deliver by courier in the Helsinki metropolitan area and by Posti Express elsewhere in Finland.
Which material should I choose?
Matte white 300 g is the most common, neutral choice. Natural-white recycled card suits a warmer, more understated look. Linen-embossed card brings a dignified, traditional feel. If you're also ordering a funeral programme, it's worth choosing the same material for both.
Is the printing environmentally friendly?
Yes. We print funeral cards using energy-efficient, plant-based inks – they melt at a lower temperature than conventional inks, which saves energy. All card stocks are FSC or PEFC certified, and we also offer 100% recycled card as an option.
How will the cards be delivered?
Delivery throughout Finland. By courier in the Helsinki metropolitan area, by Posti Express elsewhere. Pickup from Helsinki Hakaniemi is also possible if you'd prefer to collect the cards in person.
