How to save a print-ready PDF in Canva

When using Canva for print design, follow these steps to make sure your file is suitable for printing:

  1. Bleed: Canva does not have a separate bleed setting. Extend all backgrounds and design elements slightly beyond the edges to ensure proper trimming.
  2. Export settings: Choose PDF Print and check the following boxes:
    • Crop marks / Bleed
    • Flatten PDF
  3. Color mode: Canva Pro allows you to export in CMYK, which is recommended for printing. If you only have RGB, that’s fine too – we will convert it for print.

This ensures your final printed product looks professional and the colors are reproduced accurately.
